Funny, I was thinking about this topic just this week. Mind you, I’m not a prolific writer, so it’s like a couch potato saying that I’m not reaching my usual HIIT running pace. I did, however, start feeling some creative juice flowing — or rather, seeping with resistance — towards the mental tree tap, as I recently took a long walk along a hilly brook on a rainy evening. The pitter-patter of raindrops on puddles, the shadows of willows and sakura trees casting onto the stony pathway, and murmurs made by unidentified creatures in the adjacent woods must have triggered certain memories and emotions which I could not precisely recall when I reached home. But I retained a few slivers, perhaps enough to finish my recent thoughts on nihilism.
