Hi. I find this to be true from experience. there were times when I would let myself get upset but nothing came out of it except panic attacks, angry outbursts, or mental paralysis. I could have avoided those awful detours by taking the straight path of mental peace and calm. But when cortisol and adrenaline are starting to pump hard, it’s often not enough to just tell yourself to stay calm. It takes practice and discipline to get in the habit of mindful deep breathing. That has worked for me.
