I am beComing lactise intolerant. I’m not trying to be sarcastic. I can really feel it. And though I’m a straight tea and coffee drinker, I do have a habit of putting milk or condensed milk in my drink when it gets half empty/half full to change up my drinking experience. That is, until recently.
And now I find myself gradually weaning off milk entirely because my body is rejecting it and developing a taste for soya and almond milk.
As a teenager, I’d dunk a quarter-litre of whole milk in one go. Now, as a middle-age man, unsweetened soya milk, warmed like in China or Taiwan—cold like in Japan—is my favourite beverage with straight tea. I don’t mix them but alternate between the two. lol
