I think finding the one has become an afterthought. It’s what I hope for in this fantasy I keep conjuring up. But recently, I’ve started thinking, maybe it’s just the adrenalin rush, the blushing (that you mentioned), or the dopamine effect that I’m actually just craving for. The buildup excitement I know is happening inside me when I not-too-conspicuously prep myself for another “chance” meeting and I “happen” to be wearing a cool shirt and a light cologne and walking a non-existing pet dog.

Emily, I felt that today’s story was written in a slightly different style than usual (or is it just me?), and it was refreshing to read though your writing has always been engaging and thought-provoking.
