Thanks for your honesty. It was brutal for me, too. I hate it when people make it sound like — duh, keto! — but it does take an almost new paradigm shift. But in hindsight, not wanting to eat all the time, has become a kind of muscle memory. I no longer get anxious if I miss (or anticipate missing) a meal. I only eat when the growling gets loud enough to wake the neighbours. Even then, it doesn’t mean I want to eat. I guess there’s still a disconnect between my brain and my gut. Conclusion: i still live eating breads (they make them awesome in Japan) because I love the taste. My Friday night after-work reward is a 5-inch portion of toasted baguette with a generous lathering of 100% extra virgin olive oil and almond butter. Sometimes dairy.
