Well, it’s nothing like the sub-zero in northern Japan (Hokkaido or environs) or Montreal where I grew up. It only dips to -1 around this time and warms up to maybe 7 during the day. But the moisture makes the cold feel extra cold in the joints. Plus, the houses here don’t have the same kind of insulation that we typically use in colder climates. And there’s no central heating. The wet frigidity is challenging. And yet, my skins dries up overnight. What the heck?!
